The charity: Karibu – education in Kenya wants to support schools in Misikhu, Kenya. In particular we want to help girls, to be able to attend the Brenda Friends Secondary School Misikhu. Misikhu ( the k is silent) is a small town in Kenya’s West Province, situated near the road from Webuye to Kitale.
The school lies a little outside of Misikhu, near Mukhe.
Mukhe has about 150 inhabitants and is situated within sugar and maize farms, surrounded by bananas, grassland and trees.

The girl’s day begins at 5 am. They have time for personal hygene and washing their clothes until they go for breakfast at 6am. After breakfast they work on their homework until 7:40am when they assemble with their teachers to start their school day.
